Solanas and Portezuelo: time by the coast
Solanas and Portezuelo are well-known beach areas around Punta Ballena. Make the coast your main plan on a summer day, or stop for a walk and a view outside the busy season.
Check the weather, wind and sea conditions before heading out. Take water, sun protection and what you need for the length of your visit. Use designated access points and follow local guidance.
Las Grutas: a different setting
Las Grutas is another part of Punta Ballena’s coast to consider for your route. Combine the area with a drive around the peninsula and its viewpoints, adjusting your plans to weather and access conditions.
When travelling with children or someone with reduced mobility, check access details first. A beach name alone does not tell you what the path to the sand will be like.
Leave an afternoon for sunset
Instead of trying to cover the whole coast in one day, save an afternoon to linger. A short walk, a meal and an unhurried return can be as memorable as a busy itinerary.

Return to a cabin after the beach
A cabin with a kitchen and private bathroom gives you flexibility after a day out. All five Rincón del Diario cabins have air conditioning, kitchenware, bed linen and towels for their capacity. La Escapada has a private barbecue; Buena Vida, Tiempo Libre and Sin Apuro have a shared barbecue.
